The three story LEGOLAND Hotel will have 250 rooms, all two bedroom suites themed after LEGOLAND areas including: Pirate, Kingdom, and Adventure.  Each suite will include a king-size bed for adults, and a separate sleeping area for kids, complete with bunk beds and a pull-out trundle bed.  In addition, each suite also has two TVs, so kids can watch in their own bedroom.  Finally, the LEGO themed hotel will feature brightly colored, interactive LEGO décor, a pool and lounge area, patio, event space and buffet restaurant.

Those wishing to peek in on the construction of the hotel, can watch via the webcameras set up on the site.  R.D. Olson Construction, the contractor building LEGOLAND Hotel, installed the cameras in mid-December after grading began and will keep the cameras on until the hotel opens in summer 2013.  The webcamera site on OxBlue.com provides two different angles, time lapse footage, and the ability to compare days and zoom in and out of the site.

LEGOLAND California Resort includes two attractions, LEGOLAND theme park and SEA LIFE Carlsbad Aquarium, geared towards family with young children (ages 2-12).  In addition to the expanded LEGO Star Wars Miniland, there are more than 60 rides and attractions in the park.  For more family travel news and features, be sure to follow Adventures by Daddy on twitter and “like” our facebook page too.
