Short Before Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University is The Blue Umbrella

Ever since the very first Disney•Pixar film, “Toy Story” (1995), an animated short has preceded the theatrical release.  Many of these animated shorts have gone on to win the Academy Award for “Best Animated Short Film.”  Walt Disney Studios announced the theatrical short paired with its next feature film “Monsters University” will be “The Blue Umbrella.”  Continue reading for a description of the short, and we’ll add to this post if we get more information.  For all the latest news, trailers, and images for Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University, click here.

It is just another evening commute until the rain starts to fall, and the city comes alive to the sound of dripping rain pipes, whistling awnings and gurgling gutters.  And in the midst, two umbrellas—one blue, one not—fall eternally in love.
