Disney, Star Wars & Baseball Collide at Atlanta Braves Spring Training

Ewoks??  There’s no Ewoks in baseball!  Was that an Ewok running the bases at the recent Atlanta Braves spring training game at Walt Disney World?  Why yes… yes it was, and that wasn’t all.  In addition to Ewoks, there was Jedi Mickey Mouse, Princess Minnie Mouse, Darth Goofy, Donald Duck, and a whole host of other characters from both the Star Wars and Disney universes.  Continue reading for more photos of the special day, and if you can’t get enough, you’re in luck.  Those Star Wars characters didn’t come from a galaxy far, far, away just to appear at one Atlanta Braves spring training baseball game.  Nope, they’ll continue the epic battle of good vs. evil as the Braves host the New York Yankees today, Saturday, March 16 (5:05 pm).  I’ll let you decide which baseball team fights on the light vs. dark side [hint: one team has been referred to as the Evil Empire numerous times in the past.]

Princess Minnie and Jedi Mickey started things off as an X-wing pilot sax quartet serenaded the crowd.

What’s this?  Is Atlanta Braves catcher Evan Gattis confronting Darth Vader?

Is Lord Vader using the Force to perhaps finally find the droids he is looking for?
