In December 2012, the Walt Disney World resort partially opened New Fantasyland the largest expansion in the history of the Magic Kingdom theme park. Joining Cinderella’s castle are two additional castles in the landscape include Prince Eric’s home of Eric and Ariel, The Little Mermaid. Eric’s castle serves as the elaborate queue for an attraction where you can ride through the story of The Little Mermaid. In the video below, John Saccheri, takes us along for a full ride through of the attraction. So hop a clam-mobile, and come along for the ride on Under The Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid.
The attraction is a classic Disney “dark ride” taking you scene by scene through the classic Disney animated version of The Little Mermaid.
After the Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction, you can visit Ariel’s Grotto for a personal audience with your favorite mermaid. Here’s your intrepid videographer having a meet and greet with the headstrong redhead. Let’s hope Prince Eric doesn’t get upset.
Have you taken a ride under the sea for the journey of The Little Mermaid? If so, what did you think?
