Nothing Taller than Ihu’s Breakaway Falls Coming to Aquatica in 2014

SeaWorld Orlando is hinting at a new attraction coming to their Aquatica water park.  Using the hashtag #NothingTaller on social media, the park claims will the attraction will be the tallest water thrill ride in Orlando, opening in 2014.  Update: Aquatica Orlando’s new slide is called Ihu’s Breakaway Falls – and more details can be found below.

Ihu's Breakaway Falls

SeaWorld Orlando first opened Aquatica in 2008, and added a new water slide (Omaka Rocka) in 2010.  Since that time SeaWorld also opened Aquatica water parks in both San Antonio (2012) and San Diego (2013).  Hallmarks of all Aquatica parks are not only the water slides, pools, and attractions, but incorporation of animals as well.  Let’s hope this new #NothingTaller attraction includes an animal component too.  Continue reading for more details from SeaWorld’s press release.

Compiled from SeaWorld Orlando’s Press Releases

A height-test balloon, was spotted several weeks ago over Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark, in Orlando.  This type of balloon is commonly used by theme parks to check sight lines for new attractions.  Speculation at the time had the balloon 50 feet off the ground.  That information is incorrect.

The balloon was more than 100 feet high.  Something tall is coming to Aquatica Orlando in 2014.  Although designers haven’t shared details of the new attraction, they confirm it will be the tallest water thrill ride of its type in Orlando.  Stay tuned for more information.
