VIDEO Disney’s Hollywood Studios Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

When the Christmas lights of Arkansas philanthropist Jennings Osborne grew too large for their home and neighborhood, Walt Disney World resort took it off their hands and strung them up in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  The massive Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights display features millions of dancing lights, plus animated displays and 3-D effects perfectly synchronized to holiday music while “snowflakes” drift from the sky.  The visual treat takes place on Disney’s Hollywood Studios Streets of America from November 8, 2013 to January 5, 2014, and is included with theme park admission.  Continue for a video sampling of the glimmering extravaganza.

New for 2013 are the addition of “Glow with the Show” hats.  Guests can purchase special Mickey Ear hats ($25 each) that change colors in sync with the music and lights; the hats can be reused for multiple shows around the resort.  The Glow with the Show Ear hats debuted at Walt Disney World on October 15, 2013 during the 15th anniversary of Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – click here for our video of the event.

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
