VIDEO Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom 2014

The calendar may have just turned September, but for Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom that means Halloween!  Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite events of the year, and I couldn’t wait to trick-or-treat with Mickey and all his friends.  Come along for a VIDEO tour of all the fall decorations at the Magic Kingdom as well as a talking Halloween Mickey Mouse, the Headless Horseman, Boo To You Parade, and HalloWishes fireworks spectacular that make up Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I saw talking Mickey, but I never saw a talking Mickey with new Halloween phrases and dressed up.  Super cool! With Robert & Ed Bearden from

The 2014 Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party has some notable differences than years prior.  Differences I caught were the inclusion of Club Villain at Diamond Horseshoe.  A lively dance party with villains like Lady Tremaine and Cruella De Vil.

Main Street U.S.A. looked better than ever this year thanks to a new lighting package.  On the night I attended there were no projections of witches and ghosts on the buildings.  Instead, the windows emitted occasional lightning, and were able to go blue and orange among other colors.  The best example of this is how Main Street U.S.A. turned red right before the Headless Horseman took his famous ride.

During the Boo To You Halloween parade, I noticed the inclusion of a Wreck It Ralph truck complete with Ralph and Vanellope.

The Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion welcomes you to “drop in” as Disney Villains tear up the night with fireworks and wicked remixes of their theme songs.  Cruella de Vil, Jafar and Oogie Boogie are just some of the scoundrels who croon their spooky tunes.  Shiver in anticipation as creepy colors crawl over Cinderella Castle — complete with a finale that casts a spell you won’t soon forget.

I hope you enjoyed the magic romp through the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  Too bad you couldn’t sample some of the rare holiday treats like the candy corn flavored soft serve ice cream available in New Fantasyland.

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
