Right outside of Animal Connections is where most of the action is happening at Otto & Penelope’s Pumpkin Fish Patch. There’s a DJ spinning tunes, tons of adorable characters in costumes interacting with guests, carnival style games, cookie and pumpkin decorating, and there’s even a mermaid!

It looks quiet now, but it’s about to be on & poppin’!

DJ Bubbles (likely not his real name, but he was covered in them, so....)

DJ Rock Candy rocks the party right!

We had a lot of fun with the Cookie Decorating Kit. Included were 1 cookie, frosting, Gummi Bears, and  M&M’s.

The pop-up games weren't quite ready, but they looked like fun.

Moving out of Penelope & Otto’s Pumpkin Fish Patch there’s more Halloween fun to be had.  Aside from just the trick-or-treating, there were decorations and fun Halloween-themed music playing throughout the park.  Over at the Sea Lion & Otter Stadium you can watch Clyde & Seamour’s Spooky Adventure, and in the Sesame Street Bay of Play there’s the Countdown to Halloween featuring Count Von Count, Elmo, Abby, and more.

Of course, a Sesame Street show wouldn’t be complete without Elmo himself.

We really enjoyed our time at SeaWorld San Diego Halloween Spooktacular.  I loved how creative they were at merging the sea life themes in with Halloween, all the while keeping it family friendly and spook-free.   Even better is there’s no extra cost to participate!  Want to see how SeaWorld celebrates Halloween on the east coast?  Click here for Cristen Curley-Edwards review of SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular.
