On weekends through October 26, SeaWorld San Diego park guests can join in the fun of their annual Halloween Spooktacular event! Included with the price of admission, guests of all ages are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes (although, not required), dance the day away alongside delightful characters, go trick-treating throughout the park, and catch some fun holiday themed entertainment. We were invited to check out SeaWorld San Diego’s Halloween Spooktacular on opening day, continue reading for our review.
When visiting SeaWorld San Diego on a Saturday or Sunday through October 26, your park admission is all you need to participate in the Halloween Spooktacular festivities. Be sure to grab a park map as you enter, it’ll highlight all of the trick-or-treat locations and the entertainment schedule that you won’t want to miss!
Right outside of Animal Connections is where most of the action is happening at Otto & Penelope’s Pumpkin Fish Patch. There’s a DJ spinning tunes, tons of adorable characters in costumes interacting with guests, carnival style games, cookie and pumpkin decorating, and there’s even a mermaid!
Moving out of Penelope & Otto’s Pumpkin Fish Patch there’s more Halloween fun to be had. Aside from just the trick-or-treating, there were decorations and fun Halloween-themed music playing throughout the park. Over at the Sea Lion & Otter Stadium you can watch Clyde & Seamour’s Spooky Adventure, and in the Sesame Street Bay of Play there’s the Countdown to Halloween featuring Count Von Count, Elmo, Abby, and more.
We really enjoyed our time at SeaWorld San Diego Halloween Spooktacular. I loved how creative they were at merging the sea life themes in with Halloween, all the while keeping it family friendly and spook-free. Even better is there’s no extra cost to participate!
