A large part of the Star Wars Celebration Experience is interacting with fans – many in costume – on the massive, interactive, vibrant show floor featuring immense Star Wars displays. One of the most prominent show floor exhibits comes from Steve Sansweet’s nonprofit museum Rancho Obi-Wan. Steve Sansweet, former director of fan relations for Lucasfilm Ltd., was an avid collector of Star Wars paraphernalia even before working with the Maker. In 2011, Sansweet left Lucasfilm Ltd. to maintain his Guinness Book of World Record collection of Star Wars memorabilia at Rancho Obi-Wan. He played a key role in developing the initial Star Wars Celebrations and now creates Rancho Obi-Wan’s Celebration Experience in a 900 sq ft space on the show floor with 300+ items from his collection.
