Fifth Hotel at Universal Orlando – Loews Sapphire Falls to Open July, 2016

Universal Orlando marked the opening of its fifth on-site hotel –Loews Sapphire Falls Resort – with a special, Caribbean-themed arrival celebration of its first guests.

Cheering team members, a steel drum band, stilt walkers and a colorful burst of streamers inside the hotel’s stunning lobby greeted the Fajardo family from Hollywood, Florida.

The brand new Caribbean-inspired hotel brings the number of Universal Orlando on-site hotel rooms to 5,200. A destination within itself, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is inspired by the scenic rivers and waterfalls of the Caribbean and immerses guests in a highly-themed resort environment using traditional island styling and modern touches. Guests can experience exceptional amenities and benefits that include:

  • Snapping a photo from a water taxi of the hotel’s dazzling lagoon waterfalls lit up at night, welcoming guests to an island paradise

Universal Orlando Resort is offering guests who book a 4-night stay at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, a $150 hotel dining credit.  This limited time offer is available when guests book by May 31, 2016 for stays from July 14 to December 15, 2016.  The $150 hotel dining credit (per room) can be used toward any dining purchase throughout Loews Sapphire Falls Resort – including room service.

The hotel’s unique dining experiences include:

  • Amatista Cookhouse: a Caribbean-inspired restaurant with an open exhibition kitchen and outdoor dining.
  • Strong Water Tavern: a destination lobby lounge overlooking the hotel’s towering waterfalls and offering a tapas-style menu.
  • Drhum Club Kantine: a poolside bar and grill serving freshly-grilled fare and specialty cocktails.
  • New Dutch Trading Co.: a quick-service marketplace.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is scheduled to open in July 2016, and will be a Preferred on-site hotel with rates starting at $144 per night for a four-night stay.

A fifth hotel will open at Universal Orlando Resort in time for summer 2016. Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando will welcome guests to a colorful Caribbean hideaway built around a lush, tropical lagoon and towering waterfall. Guests can be among the first to book reservations for the newest on-site hotel at Universal Orlando Resort – Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.  Built around a lush, tropical lagoon and towering waterfall, the new, 1,000-room Caribbean-themed hideaway is the fifth hotel at Universal Orlando and will bring the number of on-site hotel rooms to 5,200.

Guests will be captivated by a vivid retreat that evokes a free-spirited, Caribbean sense of ease with a modern yet timeless feel. The unforgettable island escape will feature Universal Orlando’s largest on-site, zero-entry pool at 16,000 square-feet, with a white sand beach, a water slide, cabanas and a fire pit.
