We’re in the heart of summer travel season, and perhaps you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained in the car, on a plane, or riding the rails. Whether driving to the beach or flying across the country, traveling kids can have fun with a “busy bag” filled with ready-to-go activities and toys that they can pull out at the drop of a hat. Think Crayola crayons are just for little kids? Think again. My teenage daughters whiled away the hours on our recent drives to the Finger Lakes and Pocono Mountains doodling on the car windows with their Crayola washable window crayons. Crayola offers a variety of products that make traveling with children a whole lot easier, and more creative, including:
- Crayola Color Wonder – Minions Coloring Pages: Crayola Color Wonder products offer the magic of color without the mess, as Color Wonder markers only work on special paper and will not color on skin, furniture or fabric. The new Minions product offers 18 mess-free coloring pages of fun Minions art and 5 markers, for mess-free fun virtually anywhere. The Color Wonder line also offers characters including Avengers, Disney Princesses, Hello Kitty, and Spiderman.
- Crayola Washable Window Markers: Kids can stay entertained for hours by drawing fun and colorful designs on windows. Window Markers work well on glass surfaces, and serve as great way to get creative and pass the time in a train, plain or car.
- Crayola Super-Tips Washable Markers: Washable Super-Tips Markers feature a versatile tip that draws both thick and thin lines. Crayola’s washable ink is specially formulated to easily wash from skin and most children’s clothing, so it’s perfect for travel.
- Crayola Twistables Colored Pencils: No sharpener? No problem. Twistables require no sharpening and are available in 30 vibrant and bold Crayola colors. When the tips get worn down – just twist them up for continuous coloring.
- Fold & Go Dry Erase Travel Pack: This trifold dry-erase travel pack lets kids get creative while on-the-go. The pack includes five washable dry erase skinny markers and comes with nine repositionable clings, an erase cloth and fold & go dry erase travel board.
Again, if you think only little kids enjoy Crayola products, think again. When my 14 year old daughter opened the package, I received multiple texts in all caps exclaiming:
Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH COOL STUFFF… I didn’t even know they made window crayons!!!!!
Plus, once you get to your destination, the twistable colored pencils and crayons make great rainy day activities, and the sidewalk chalk is perfect for games in the driveway. We’ve had a mean game of kickball going on this summer with a playing field and scoreboard drawn on the ground.
