Fast and Furious – Supercharged Opening at Universal Orlando in 2018

Fast & Furious is a global phenomenon and one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time. Millions of people from all over the world have been captivated by the action-packed storylines, unique characters and high-speed cars. In Spring 2018, the next chapter of this blockbuster franchise will come to life with Universal Orlando’s new attraction: Fast & Furious – Supercharged. Guests will have the opportunity to actually live the excitement they’ve seen on the big screen in a high-octane ride experience where they will become part of the Fast family.

You will encounter more of your favorite Fast characters than ever before in Fast & Furious – Supercharged. For the first time ever, Tej (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) will join the star-studded cast of the attraction, which includes Dom (Vin Diesel), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and criminal mastermind Owen Shaw (Luke Evans).

Authentic Fast and Furious Cars – 12 From Films & 3 New

Fast and Furious – Supercharged will be the only place where you can see – and even take photos with – 15 supercharged Fast & Furious cars – many of them driven by some of your favorite Fast family members. Each vehicle, including Dom’s iconic Dodge Charger and Letty’s Turbo Truck, has been crafted by Dennis McCarthy, the man behind the cars for the Fast & Furious films.

Similar to Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon that opened in Spring 2017, you will be able to select a time to ride Fast and Furious – Supercharged via the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App or at kiosks located near the attraction entrance. While you wait for your ride time, you can enjoy other experiences throughout Universal Studios Florida.

Immersed in an Original, Supercharged Story

Get ready to live an original Fast & Furious story that expands upon the films and brings you face-to-face with your favorite Fast characters.

As soon as you approach the attraction, you see Dom’s Dodge Charger parked outside – and you know exactly where you are. Welcome to the underground headquarters of the “Fast family.”

Inside, you’re immersed in the ultimate Fast & Furious experience. Hit songs from the films’ soundtracks fill the rooms as memorable scenes from the series play around you. You make your way through familiar places inspired by the films, like the Family Room – complete with photos of the Fast family – and Tej’s high-tech War Room.

You are invited to attend a race after-party that can’t be missed, and Tej arranges for a custom party bus to get you there.

As you make your way to the party, Dom calls with an urgent message. Owen Shaw is headed your way. A high-speed chase ensues, and you must rely on the Fast family to lead you to safety. But will it be enough to keep you and the gang from the clutches of Shaw?

One of the most successful film franchises of all time will soon become one of Universal Studios Florida’s most action-packed ride experiences.  Universal Orlando Resort announced today Fast & Furious: Supercharged will join its incredible lineup of attractions in 2017 – continuing the unprecedented growth of the destination.

Guests will experience a high-octane journey that fuses an original storyline and incredible ride technology with everything that fans love about the films—popular characters, exhilarating environments, nonstop action and, of course, high-speed cars.

Led by film stars Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) and Tyrese Gibson (Roman), guests will feel like part of the “Fast family” as they embark on a thrilling new Fast & Furiousadventure.  They will be immersed in the underground racing world made famous in the films, explore the headquarters of Toretto and his team and even get to check out some of the supercharged cars they’ve seen on the big screen.  Then, guests will board specially-designed vehicles and take off on an adrenaline-pumping ride with their favorite stars from the films.

Fast & Furious is Universal Pictures’ highest-grossing film franchise of all time.  Since the release of the first film in 2001, the Fast & Furious series has become a cultural phenomenon.  Together, all seven installments have grossed nearly $3.9 billion at the worldwide box office.  The most recent film, Furious 7, was released in April and became the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time, with more than $1.5 billion in global box office.  In addition, Universal Studios Hollywood introduced its own Fast & Furious—Supercharged this summer, which serves as the grand finale to its world famous Studio Tour.

Fast & Furious: Supercharged will replace Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue and Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You! at Universal Studios Florida.  Disaster will close on September 8, 2015 and Beetlejuice will close later this year to make way for the new attraction.

Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled 18 new guest experiences in the past five years – powerful attractions, incredible dining opportunities and a dramatically themed hotel. And more is on the way. Coming in 2016 is Universal Orlando’s fifth on-site hotel, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort; and Skull Island: Reign of Kong, a groundbreaking attraction in Islands of Adventure. And in 2017 will come Universal’s Volcano Bay, an entirely new water theme park experience.
