VIDEO 2015 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

There’s only one Disney parade that doesn’t end with Mickey Mouse waving to all the boys and girls gathered along the route.  Who can upstage Mickey?  Why Santa Claus of course, and you know “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” when Mickey gives up his parade anchor spot for that Jolly Ole Elf in the red suit.  Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is going on now at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.  This separate ticketed event (prices start at $74 for adults) is only held on select evenings at the park and includes special holiday shows, fireworks spectacular, cookies and hot chocolate, holiday characters, and more.  But the headliner of the party is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade right down Main Street U.S.A. with snow flurries fluttering in the air.  Continue reading for VIDEO highlights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Even though Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party does not begin until 7 pm, guests can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 pm.  This allows you to get some rides and attractions completed before the party begins.  You will also be able to catch “A Frozen Holiday Wish,” where Queen Elsa transforms Cinderella’s Castle into a shimmering ice palace (this occurs every evening and is NOT exclusive to the Christmas Party).

Frozen Holiday Wish

If you’re a FROZEN fan, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf all appear in the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (see the video below) – as well as dozens of Disney characters including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Ralph and Vanellope from “Wreck-It Ralph” and a heavy dose of Princesses.

Sit back and enjoy Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade in glorious HD video below.

There are usually two performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the party – an early parade around 8:00 pm and a later parade at 10:30 pm.  The Holiday Wishes fireworks spectacular takes place at 9:30 pm, and many families with younger children leave after the fireworks.  Therefore, if you can stay for the later parade, you will find it less crowded.

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
