What does SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration involve? Lots! Not only do the rides stay open, weather permitting, but there are great holiday shows, opportunities for family fun and, of course, shopping!

One huge draw at the event was the Polar Express Experience. Using footage from the Polar Express movie, SeaWorld has transformed their Wild Arctic ride into the vintage trains of the Polar Express! And you get to ride along too! The Polar Express Experience offers two options – motion or non-motion. And if you have any issues with simulators, definitely go for non-motion, since this one is a bit choppy. However, even better than the ride itself, is that you arrive at the North Pole where you can admire Arctic animals, or take the time to meet Santa!

The Winter Wonderland on Ice show offers a rare treat in Florida – an ice skating show! The show begins with a serenade of Christmas Carols by the Bayside Chorus, before the skaters take to the ice. Performing flips, turns and dancing on the ice, it is a treat to watch with the Sea of Trees twinkling in the background. Plus each skating number is set to familiar Christmas Carols, so it’s impossible to not be filled with the Christmas spirit!

However, the true masterpiece of the evening is Shamu’s Christmas Miracle. The mood is already set as you arrive to Shamu Stadium with Christmas standards being performed on saxophone. Once the show begins, the holiday lightning, projections and music transform the show from a simple animal act to a celebration of the holiday. The animal trainers play their part, dancing along and leading a candlelight processional. Holiday music is celebrated even further here, as the event culminates with a live singer and the saxophonist filling the stadium with the sounds of Christmas cheer.

Of course, the park is decked out with holiday decorations as well and no area is overlooked! And the Sea of Trees is not to be missed – make sure to wait and watch them dance to the music!
