Universal Orlando’s 2016 Mardi Gras continues this weekend with two electrifying musical acts: The Fray on Saturday, March 12, and Adam Lambert on Sunday, March 13.
Since forming in 2002, The Fray has earned four GRAMMY nominations and sold more than 4 million albums and 20 million singles worldwide. The band is best known for their hit singles “You Found Me,” “How to Save a Life” and “Over My Head (Cable Car).” In 2012, The Fray released their third album, Scars & Stories, that charted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200.
Adam Lambert’s vocal career began in 2009 with the release of his debut album, For Your Entertainment, which included the GRAMMY-nominated single, “Whataya Want from Me.” In 2015, he released his third album, The Original High, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200. Alongside his solo career, Lambert has collaborated with rock band Queen as lead vocalist since 2011, culminating in a successful world-wide tour from 2014 to 2016.

Tonight! It’s time to “Celebrate” with a performance by legendary R&B group Kool & the Gang on Saturday, March 5 at Universal Orlando’s 2016 Mardi Gras celebration.
Having performed continuously for more than 40 years, longer than any R&B group in history, Kool & the Gang has three generations worth of worldwide musical influence. The group has earned two GRAMMY Awards, seven American Music Awards and 31 gold and platinum albums. Kool & the Gang is best known for its party anthem, “Celebrate,” as well as smash hits “Get Down On It,” and “Jungle Boogie.”

GRAMMY-nominated alternative rock band Fall Out Boy is set to perform this Saturday, February 27, at Universal Orlando’s 2016 Mardi Gras Celebration.
Since the release of their multi-platinum breakthrough album From Under The Cork Tree in 2005, Fall Out Boy has continued to be one of rock music’s biggest-selling bands. The band is best-known for its hit singles “Irresistible,” “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s An Arms Race,” “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” and “Dance, Dance.” The group’s sixth studio album, AMERICAN BEAUTY/AMERICAN PSYCHO, debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 while the album’s first two singles “Centuries” and “Uma Thurman” have been certified 4x and 2x platinum, respectively.

Universal Orlando’s 2016 Mardi Gras Celebration continues this weekend with performances by Motown icon Diana Ross on Saturday, February 13, and rock band Barenaked Ladies on Sunday, February 14.
Ross’ famed and remarkable career spanning almost five decades has resulted in major awards, accolades and music history milestones. Her massive launch into stardom began as the leading lady of The Supremes, producing hits such as “Stop! In the Name of Love” and “Where Did Our Love Go.” Her solo career proved to be equally successful, as her first No.1 solo single “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” earned her a GRAMMY nomination and continues to stand the test of time.
After 27 years together, more than 14 million albums sold and several GRAMMY nominations, Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies continues to fire on all cylinders. With the release of their latest album, Silverball, in 2015, the band will embark on the Last Summer on Earth 2016 Tour, which kicks off in June of this year. The band is best known for their Billboard chart-toppers, “One Week,” “Pinch Me” and “It’s All Been Done.”

Universal Orlando’s 2016 Mardi Gras celebration kicks off this Saturday, February 6, featuring a live performance by five-time GRAMMY nominee Hunter Hayes.
Hayes roared onto the music scene with his platinum-selling, No. 1 self-titled debut album and chart-topping second album, Storyline, on Atlantic/Warner Music Nashville. The multi-talented artist has many hits to his credit, including his most recent single “21” and the three No.1 smash hits “Wanted,” “Somebody’s Heartbreak” and “I Want Crazy.”

Let the good times roll at the 2016 Universal Orlando Mardi Gras celebration. On select nights February 6 through April 16, guests can top off their day in the theme parks with a family-friendly version of the famed “N’awlins” celebration at Universal Studios Florida – featuring delicious Cajun cuisine, a dazzling parade and 14 nights of exhilarating concerts from some of the biggest names in music.
This year’s star-studded concert lineup features a diverse array of talent with something for everyone to enjoy. Headliners include rock band Fall Out Boy, teen pop sensation Shawn Mendes, GRAMMY-nominated recording artist Adam Lambert, country singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes and legendary entertainer Diana Ross. This year’s Mardi Gras parade features 12 vibrant floats, including four new additions that celebrate different cultures and festivals from around the world – Venetian Carnival, Oktoberfest, 4th of July and Rio de Janeiro Carnival. All of the exquisitely detailed Mardi Gras floats are engineered by Blaine Kern Artists, the same company that has been hand-crafting floats for the iconic New Orleans celebration since 1947. Plus, guests can visit Universal Studios Florida’s very own French Quarter Courtyard to enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine and see performances by bands pulled straight from Bourbon Street.
