VIDEO: Kylo Ren Arrives at the Disney Parks

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has quickly become the highest grossing film in American history, and now guests at Walt Disney World and Disneyland can interact with one of the film’s most intriguing and chilling new characters, Kylo Ren.  In Star Wars Launch Bay families will be transported to the Star Wars galaxy for an encounter with Kylo Ren on the bridge of his First Order Star Destroyer.  Take a look at the VIDEO below for a glimpse of what to expect at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Dark Side of the Force was always strong at Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios - but it just got a little more interesting.  Currently replacing (perhaps joining) Darth Vader is Kylo Ren in a new Meet & Greet.  He speaks - albeit a bit menacingly but he will pose for a photo.

As seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren is a dark warrior with a mysterious past.  Kylo Ren is strong with the Force and serves as a leader of the First Order, seeking to destroy the New Republic, the Resistance and the legacy of the Jedi.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

During a previous visit to Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we were able to meet and talk with Darth Vader and Chewbacca.  Darth Vader was a bit intimidating but you can warm him up.  Chewbacca, I am told, does speak his usual growlings but did not at the time we visited.

In between visits at Walt Disney World, Kylo Ren hops in his Imperial Shuttle for the short commute to Disneyland in California during Season of the Force.

Our friends Richard and Sarah Woloski of Skywalking Through Neverland had an audience with the First Order Commander, and you can listen to their visit in Episode 109 at 49 minutes into the show embedded below.

No word on whether Darth Vader will continue to appear now that Kylo Ren has taken over his spot at Star Wars Launch Bay.  For more family travel news, reviews, and trip reports, be sure to follow Adventures by Daddy on Twitter and “like” our Facebook page, too.

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
