VIDEO Easter at Walt Disney World

Spring is in full bloom at Walt Disney World Resort.  Epcot certainly warrants the most attention with its riotous horticultural displays at the International Flower and Garden Festival.  The flower fest stretches three full months from the beginning of March to the end of May, but it’s not the only harbinger of spring throughout the parks and resorts.  You can find signs of spring and Easter at Walt Disney World in many places including an Easter Egg hunt through the World Showcase.  Continue reading for videos of the Easter Bunny in the Magic Kingdom and fanciful Easter eggs at the Grand Floridian Resort.  We’ll add more videos leading up to the holiday, so be sure to check back after looking through your Easter basket.

20th Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

When it’s Easter at Walt Disney World, that means Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny arrive at the Magic Kingdom.  The pair welcome children of all ages at a meet and greet located next to City Hall on Main Street U.S.A.  Grab an autographed Easter Egg card as you head in to give them a big ol’ hug.

Before the 3 O’Clock Festival of Fantasy Parade on Saturday, March 26th, 2016 - The Magic Kingdom had a special Easter Pre-Parade with special appearance by ZOOTOPIA’s Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps. This will also take place on Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2016.

Spring is in the air, and while we try to keep away the April Showers, these beautiful Flowers have sprung up.
Take a quick peek at the new foliage available to Meet & Greet at the Magic Kingdom hub for 2016.

Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, families can find an Easter Egg Display.  Every year, the pastry chefs at the Grand Floridian Resort create amazing chocolate Easter Eggs.  There are a few new additions this year, most notably BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.  [Because nothing says Easter and re-birth like the reboot of a film franchise, or a lightsaber in the chest.]

We’ll continue to update this post with more videos of Easter at Walt Disney World, so be sure to check back.

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
