There are exciting new things popping up every day at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida!  Join us every week to read about what’s new “Around the Mouse.”  This week’s Walt Disney World news update features: a Pandora jewelry event, 2017 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival dates, new Highway in the Sky Dine Around, and so much more!

What’s New This Week?


Magic Kingdom Park

New! PANDORA Jewelry Event: To celebrate the release of the new Fantasyland Fireworks Charm by PANDORA Jewelry, modern day calligrapher Singling Lee will be at Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom Park on Dec. 5, 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m., to personalize a commemorative Wishes item for Guests who have purchased at least $125 of merchandise in the shop.


New! Celebrate The Season at Epcot with Holidays Around the World: Experience time-honored traditions throughout Epcot at Holidays Around the World! This year’s winter celebration features delicious holiday treats, wondrous sights, and joyous sounds. Guests also can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at The American Adventure and end the night with a special seasonal conclusion to IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Guests can fill their heart with holiday music at the Candlelight Processional performances at America Gardens Theatre at 5, 6:45 and 8:15 p.m. Don’t miss any of the talented celebrity narrators at this year’s production, including:

  • Dec 4-6: Edward James Olmos
  • Dec 7-9: Anthony Mackie
  • Dec 10-12: Robby Benson

New! 2017 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Dates Announced: Mark your calendar: August 31 through November 13 will be a record 75 days of global culinary creations, celebrity chefs, premium events, Eat to the Beat concerts, and more.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

New! Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away Temporarily Unavailable: Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away will be temporarily unavailable from Nov. 29-Dec. 7. The show will return as normal on Dec. 8.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

New! Atlantic Dance Hall Throwback Nights at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn: Every Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00pm -2:00am for the month of December, Atlantic Dance Hall is going to take you back with throwback jams from the 90s and 2000s and nightly drink specials. On these nights, select draft beer will only be $3.00. There will be no cover charge but Guests must be 21 years or older to attend.

New! New Highway in the Sky Dine Around: Guests can now embark on a gourmet dining adventure unlike any other with the Highway in the Sky Dine Around, a progressive dinner along the iconic Walt Disney World Monorail System. This five-course epicurean journey will feature stops at several resort hotels for cocktails, appetizers, dinner, and dessert, along with a VIP guide and private viewing of the Wishes nighttime spectacular. Highway in the Sky Dine Around is a pre-paid experience, available on select nights for $150.00 per person, plus tax and can be booked by calling 407-WDW-DINE.




New! Territory Lounge Coffee Shop at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge: Territory Lounge is now brewing specialty coffee and baking up delicious pastries for you to enjoy. New to the location is a fresh sticky bun, smothered in a warm caramel and walnut sauce. The location also offers a Wilderness Bark Latte, with Nutella latte, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle, as well as a Gold Rush Latte, with vanilla and caramel drizzle whipped cream. The location is open from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Disney Springs

December 4-6 – See the latest offerings from the Disney Parks collection by HerUniverse at the WonderGround Gallery in Marketplace Co-Op. Ashley Taylor, the artist whose work is prominently featured on the Star Wars timeline skirt and coordinating Ewok cardigan, will make an appearance at the location on December 4 from 12 Noon – 3:00 p.m. and December 5 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. On December 6, Ashley will be joined by Ashley Eckstein, creator of HerUniverse, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.


December 8-12 – Artist David Doss will return to The Art of Disney from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. each day.

December 9 – Meet Disney Design Group artist Derek Lesinski at Disney’s Days of Christmas from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
