Narrated by Helena Bonham Carter, THE GRUFFALO tells the story of a mouse (James Corden) who walks through the woods in search of a nut. Along the way, he encounters a hungry fox (Tom Wilkinson), owl (John Hurt), and snake (Rob Brydon) who all think the mouse looks good to eat! Forced to rely on his wits for survival, Mouse invents an imaginary monster with frightening features to scare them away, but what happens when he comes face-to-face with the Gruffalo (Robbie Coltrane) itself?
In THE GRUFFALO’S CHILD, on a snowy night, the Gruffalo’s Child (Shirley Henderson) ignores her father’s (Robbie Coltrane) warning and bravely tiptoes out of their cave into the deep dark wood in search of the Big Bad Mouse (James Corden). On her journey, she meets Snake (Rob Brydon), Owl (John Hurt), and Fox (Tom Wilkinson) but no sign of the fabled Mouse. He doesn’t really exist…or does he?
THE GRUFFALO’S CHILD is BAFTA nominated animation based on the best selling picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
