From British Airways’ Press Release

With New Year’s resolutions top of mind, British Airways and ClassPass, the monthly subscription service providing access to the world’s largest network of boutique fitness studios and gyms, are launching vacation and fitness offers for customers looking to travel more and get healthy in 2017.

ClassPass

A survey of Americans commissioned by British Airways revealed travel and fitness goals proved difficult to achieve in 2016. While almost 30 percent resolved to travel more last year, about 1 in 3 of them did not meet their goals. Of the 61 percent who wanted to get healthy, more than half broke their resolutions. Regardless of the goal, about 60 percent said on average they stop making progress on their resolutions after three months or less. Only 8 percent said they keep their resolutions all year long.

With the flight and fitness offers, British Airways and ClassPass will help customers satisfy their New Year’s resolutions. British Airways Sale packages together flights with five nights hotel (based on double occupancy) from all US gateways with travel to London and select European cities. Travel to London packages start from $689 per person inclusive of taxes, fees and carrier charges for travel from New York JFK including roundtrip World Traveller economy airfare and five nights at the Tune Hotel, Paddington.

Simon Brooks, British Airways’ senior vice president North America, said “What better way to start off the New Year than to plan a trip to Europe and experience great culture, world class entertainment and terrific shopping. And with the strength of the dollar your money will go further, so there’s never been a better time to visit for those with resolutions to travel more and save this year.”

British Airways customers new to ClassPass can redeem an offer for 70 percent off the first month of any of their fitness plans available from select British Airways US gateway cities. Travel Health and Fitness Trends

This is the first time ClassPass has worked with an airline on a membership offer, which will help ease the pain of a common concern among travelers. According to the survey, 66 percent of Americans seek ways to be healthier while traveling.

Customers who redeem the flight and fitness offers from British Airways and ClassPass will not only have more fitness options, but will also have the opportunity to try classes unique to London from a pool of more than 150,000 monthly class spots. For example, at FACE GYM customers can achieve a full facial workout including cardio and strength training to get their mugs in tip-top shape. At Exerceo Training, customers can try electric muscle stimulation training, where studio experts say a 25-minute workout can achieve the results of a traditional 90-minute workout. And at The Altitude Centre, customers can try high intensity interval training in simulated altitudes. Traditional studios and classes are also available with strength training, Pilates and yoga ranking as some of the top categories in London.
