Breath, just… breath. That’s what you need to do when #TheLastJediEvent invitation hits your e-mail. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is certainly the biggest cinematic event of the year, and possibly the largest pop-culture event since… well, Star Wars Celebration Orlando. Now… reach out. I want to bring you all along to #TheLastJediEvent, so I encourage you to follow live December 2-4 on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Plus, I’m giving away a Star Wars prize pack of items I’ve picked up over the year. Use the rafflecopter widget below to enter, and let me know what you would ask the cast and creators of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. Continue reading for more details on our itinerary during #TheLastJediEvent in Los Angeles.
DISCLOSURE: I am hosted by Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd., and ABC Television on this all expense paid trip to Los Angeles, California including airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation, and meals to attend the global media days and learn more about STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. All opinions expressed are those of the author.
During the trip our group will attend the STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI global media event and sit down to interviews with the cast of the film including Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Laura Dern (Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico) and Director Rian Johnson.
We will also head to Disneyland where we have our reservation booked on a Star Tours StarSpeeder that will take us on deluxe vacation experience to Naboo, Bespin, or maybe even Hoth. I hear Hoth is especially Christmassy at this time of year. However, I’ve also read some negative TripAdvisor reviews from recent guests on “Star Tours – The Adventures Continue” saying something went terribly wrong on their trip and they ended up re-routed to Crait or some planet named Batuu. What’s Batuu? I’ve never even heard of that place.
Of course, Disneyland will also be decked in all its holiday finery with Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle capped with snow and dressed with icicles, lights, and greenery. Jack Skellington and the crew from “Nightmare Before Christmas” move into the Haunted Mansion transforming it into a Haunted Mansion Holiday. Once the sun sets, the lights come on for “it’s a small world holiday” and the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular.
Our trip to Los Angeles concludes with a stop at the ABC Television lot where we will learn about their latest productions. We’ll get a sneak peek at CHILD SUPPORT, a series from Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning Ricky Gervais and hosted by Fred Savage – followed by a Q&A with Fred Savage. In addition, we’ll preview ABC’s upcoming mysterious drama, THE CROSSING, followed by a Q&A with Executive Producers & Showrunners Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie.
I’m so excited for #TheLastJediEvent, and can’t wait to learn more about the latest Star Wars film. Remember to use the rafflecopter widget above to enter to win the Star Wars prize pack, and share your burning questions about THE LAST JEDI in the comments below.
