Taking a Ride in a LEGO Millennium Falcon on Star Wars Day in NYC #RoarForChange

Turns out, you don’t have to wait for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open to ride the Millennium Falcon, LEGO has unveiled a LEGO Millennium Falcon that you can ride NOW in New York City!  In celebration of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY opening on May 25 for Memorial Day Weekend as well as the Star Wars fan holiday May the 4th, a LEGO Millennium Falcon was revealed on the streets of New York. Plus, for every post shared that includes the hashtag #RoarForChange, Disney will donate $1 to UNICEF.  Continue reading for more photos and details and watch as I take a ride later on today.

LEGO Master Builders worked nerdly… whoops, sorry, I meant, nearly 400 hours to create the iconic Star Wars vehicle out of LEGO bricks that you can actually ride.  This LEGO Millennium Falcon pedicab hit the streets of New York City on Friday, May the 4th giving fans a unique way to celebrate Star Wars Day.  May the Fourth Be With You!

Over 20,000 LEGO bricks were used to create this one-of-a-kind LEGO Millennium Falcon pedicab.  If you’re in the New York City area, look for the LEGO Millennium Falcon Pedicab around Bryant Park on Friday, May 4th.  It will be on display all day from 10 am – 7 pm, while rides are taking place.

I’m scheduled to fly with the LEGO Millennium Falcon later this afternoon, but no word on whether Chewie will be my co-pilot for the ride.  Although, perhaps this is the Millennium Falcon from SOLO: A STAR WARS story, and maybe this ship comes with a LEGO Lando.  I’d be OK with that too.
