The Rules of “Dude Club” – What to Expect When You’re Expecting Opens May 18

First rule of “Dude Club.”  You do not talk about Dude Club.  Second rule of Dude Club.  You do NOT talk about Dude Club.  OK this made me laugh.  If you’re a Dad with young kids, like me, then most likely you remember the book What to Expect When You’re Expecting.  It was well-worn and dog-eared in our house, and sort of an unofficial bible as we negotiated that first pregnancy.  Turns out, a movie has been “conceived from the book,” and, if you’re a Dad (or Dude), you have a good chance of being drug to the film.  But wait… it actually looks kind of funny.  I guess it doesn’t take the book’s approach and follow month by month of pregnancy, and there also may be something that we Dads (or Dudes) can relate to – take a look at the trailer below.

Chris Rock (Vic), Rob Hubel (Gabe), Tom Lennon (Craig) and Amir Talai (Patel) make up the fight club without fights – just remember, don’t talk about what you walk about.

The film was inspired by the bestselling book, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”, and is a comedy about five couples whose intertwined lives are turned upside down by the challenges of impending parenthood.  The ensemble film also stars Brooklyn Decker, Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Lopez and Anna Kendrick, Matthew Morrison, Dennis Quaid, Rodrigo Santoro, Ben Falcone and Joe Manganiello, and opens nationwide on May 18, 2012.

Be sure head over to Facebook and “Like” the Dudes Group.  For Dudes and Dads alike.  We hang out.  It’s cool.  For more Dad and Dude movie news, follow Adventures by Daddy on twitter and “Like” our facebook page too.
