Bring a Friend, Learn to Ski and Snowboard, and Win Olympic Sized Prizes

It’s the holiday season, and for many parts of the country that means SNOW!  Instead of hibernating inside for the winter, you can get out, be active, and enjoy it.  Each January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, and ski resorts around the country have special deals to help get you out on the slopes.  Here in New York, 28 different ski areas are offering Learn to Ski and Snowboard packages which include lifts, lessons and rentals for only $35; click here for more information and to obtain a New York Learn to Ski $35 voucher.  In addition, all season long, the Bring a Friend Challenge encourages you to… well, bring a friend to a ski lesson and you could win prizes like a trip to a former US Host City for the Winter Olympic Games including: Salt Lake City, UT; Lake Placid, NY; or Squaw Valley, CA.  Continue reading for more details on how to enter and win.

Learn to Ski School

From Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month

Now that the first snowflakes have fallen in many parts of the country, it is finally time to get excited for winter and Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month (the entire month of January) is here to help.  As part of the national initiative to get newcomers comfortable out on the mountain, the Bring A Friend Challenge encourages experienced skiers and snowboarders to share their passion for snow sports with lesser-experienced friends and family members, and get them signed up for professional lessons.

Bring a Friend Challenge

From December 1 – March 14, participants are challenged to introduce newbies to the slopes this season by signing up for a lesson with a professional instructor at officially licensed ski schools across the country.  By encouraging friends and family, they will be entered to win amazing trips and prizes, which include:

  • A four-day trip provided by Ski Utah, including roundtrip airfare from Delta to Salt Lake City, 2002 Winter Olympics host Salt Lake City, four nights lodging, lift tickets, lessons, and equipment rentals at various mountains around Park City.
  • A two-day vacation for two to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain, site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. Package includes two nights at the Hampton Inn and Suites and lift tickets.
  • A three-night stay at Squaw Valley, host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, including lift tickets for two days, rental equipment and a lesson at either Squaw Valley or the sister slope, Alpine Meadows.
  • A three-night stay at the Topnotch Resort in Stowe, VT, complete with lessons, life tickets, rental equipment, spa treatments and more!
  • A two nights lodging at Black Butte Ranch and two adult lift tickets for Hoodoo Ski Area or four passes to Hoodoo’s Autobahn tubing hill, complete with free pizza and movie tickets.
  • Two-night stay at the Doubletree Hilton with lift tickets for two at Mt. Bachelor.
  • The Feelgood or Custom Snowboard from Burton.
  • Skis from HEAD and RAMP.

Additional prizes will be posted on throughout the winter.  Product winners will be drawn weekly starting in January, giving skiers the chance to enjoy their new gear this season.  Trip winners will be selected in at the end of March, giving them something to look forward to all year-long.

Want to win even more awesome prizes?  Those who introduce more than one person can qualify to be selected as Ambassadors (18 and above) or Champions (ages 13 – 17) of snow sports and will be entered to win more great prizes!
