After months of waiting and weeks of previews, the Grand Opening of Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley has arrived. Beginning as early as 5:00 am this morning Muggles of all ages lined up at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida theme park for the chance to be one of the first admitted to the new land at 8:00 am. It only took one hour after Diagon’s brick wall opened for the line for Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts to exceed two hours. This morning, Universal Orlando Resort officially opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. Confetti, fireworks and a red carpet lined with dozens of cheering Diagon Alley team members welcomed thousands of excited guests as they entered the all-new spectacularly-themed land for the very first time.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley brings even more of Harry Potter’s adventures to life at Universal Orlando Resort. This fully-immersive area expands upon the global phenomenon launched by Universal Orlando when it opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure in 2010.
