THE HUNDRED FOOT JOURNEY Blu-ray will be released on Tuesday, December 2nd. THE HUNDRED FOOT JOURNEY (Click here for Sarah Woloski’s review of the film) is the story of an Indian family creating a home for themselves in France. Do not watch on an empty stomach, especially if you do not have quick and easy access to Indian food. Speaking of food, we also had the opportunity to take a Culinary Journey with Top Chef Master and consulting chef for the film. BONUS FEATURES
THE HUNDRED FOOT JOURNEY Blu-ray has an excellent selection of bonus features, from the genesis of the movie to details about the food.
“The Hundred Foot Journey with Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey” – a conversation with the co-producers of the movie about how and why they chose to work together on this movie and behind-the-scenes stories about the cast and crew.
“The Recipe, the Ingredients, the Journey” – commentary by cast and crew about how the film got made and why they chose to make this journey. I love that Om Puri (Papa) created a family atmosphere for everyone on the set. Every aspect of the film is touched on, from the choosing the story and the cast to the food preparation (my favorite part) to the music and visuals that make this movie so special. This was a 15-minute bonus feature, but, like the movie it supports, it left me craving Indian food.
“On Set with Oprah Winfrey” – Oprah visits the set during production.

“Coconut Chicken” – Chef Anil Sharma takes us through the preparation of coconut chicken – still hungry.
“Info” – This section contains the standard disclaimers about opinions, etc.
