VIDEO: Disney Cruise Line Unveils New Entertainment Offerings at Meetup

Recently, Disney Cruise Line held their first Disney Parks Blog Meetup ever focused on the new entertainment offerings coming to the Disney ships: Star Wars: Day At Sea, FROZEN Freezing The Night Away, and TANGLED: The Musical. If you weren’t able to attend in person, watch our VIDEOS below to catch all the fun.

Tangled: The Musical

The show began promptly at 10 am the morning of April 9th. A very talented Disney character actress that I remember from the Adventurers Club played Mitzy Glamour, an obnoxious but eager wannabe Cruise Director. Mitzy introduced some members of The Disney Cruise Line creative team with a comic flair and each presented his or her section of expertise.

Star Wars Day at Sea

Star Wars Day At Sea promises to be One Epic Day on eight select sailings beginning January 2016 through April 2016. It’s exclusive to the Disney Fantasy. We are told both the light and dark sides of the force will be presented, culminating in a fantastic deck party with a brand new fireworks spectacular set to the John Williams score.

Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends

Frozen: Freezing The Night Away with Anna, Elsa & Friends is coming to the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder. With a day of Frozen fun, it will end with a brand new deck party with all your favorite characters and songs from the movie. Castaway Cay will also get Summertime Freeze. This is a new outlet on the island offering delicious new non-alcoholic beverages.

TANGLED: The Musical on the Disney Magic

Tangled: The Musical, a Broadway style production is coming to the Disney Magic. Alan Menken helped with the production and we heard from him and others through a pre-recorded segment. The show opens on November 11th, complete with Maximus the horse created by master theatrical puppeteer Michael Curry (“The Lion King” on Broadway).

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
