VIDEO Muppet Mobile Lab at Epcot in Walt Disney World

Muppet Mobile Lab is a free-roving, audio-animatronic entertainment attraction at Walt Disney World’s Epcot theme park designed by Walt Disney Imagineering.  It’s not something you’ll find everyday, but one of those smaller, random attractions you may stumble upon in the park.  In fact, I tried to find Muppet Mobile Lab for months, and finally on July 4th I was lucky enough to find it.  Believe me, Muppet Mobile Lab did not disappoint, I LOVE IT!

Implemented on a Segway platform, the Muppet Mobile Lab is a two-wheeled science-lab vehicle that resembles a small rocket ship. Two Muppet characters, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker, pilot the vehicle through the park, interacting with guests and deploying special effects such as foggers, flashing lights, moving signs, confetti cannons and spray jets. Check out the video of the Muppet Mobile Lab performance on the 4th of July.

Believe it or not, the Muppet Mobile Lab has been around for a decade, debuting in 2007, and marked the first time that free-roaming Audio-Animatronics characters could interact and converse with each other, as well as with guests they encountered along the way.  Of course Epcot is not the only Walt Disney World theme park where you can find The Muppets.  Muppet Vision 3D takes place everyday in a 584 seat theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Right across the plaza from the Muppet Vision theater is PizzeRizzo, a quick-service restaurant that opened in 2016 serving personal-sized pizzas and other Italian cuisine.

In October 2016, the Muppets made their Magic Kingdom debut with The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History, Sam the Eagle is proud to star in a show that focuses on the history of all nations… but mostly America.

About John Saccheri

John Saccheri has been rooted in the Disney culture from childhood. John only had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World once, at the age of 5. After returning home, he never stopped talking about it, yearning to return. His parents were worried about this “obsession,” but John began working at the age of 12 with a focus on saving up for the next Disney trip. He was able to visit Disney World at least once a year from 14 years old onward. Today, a successful entrepreneur, John was able to move from his hometown of Long Island, New York, to Central Florida to be close to the Mouse. Going to the parks still seems like a fantasy to him!
