LADY AND THE TRAMP Walt Disney Signature Edition and Activity Sheets

Walt Disney was working on LADY AND THE TRAMP at the same time he was creating Disneyland, and both were unveiled to the world in 1955.  It’s fitting that LADY AND THE TRAMP Blu-ray gets the Walt Disney Signature Edition treatment as his fingerprints are all over the film.  Plus the Blu-ray has a fascinating and personal look at Disneyland through the eyes of Walt’s daughter Diane Disney Miller.  Continue reading for more details on the LADY AND THE TRAMP Blu-ray release as well as printable activity sheets including a word search, coloring page, connect the dots, a printable cut out and more.

This Signature Edition of LADY AND THE TRAMP has special bonus features that are a plus for those wanting to know more about Walt Disney the man and how he worked.  Viewers can enter Walt Disney’s original office suite on the Disney Studio lot, learn about Walt Disney’s personal love of dogs, and go inside Walt Disney’s story meetings with his animators.

At its core LADY AND THE TRAMP is a love story and a visual poem that’s a throwback to a different age.  A hand-drawn animated tale released in the 50’s but set in the early 1900’s.  The film opens on Christmas morning with the gift of a puppy (Lady) from husband to wife.  The story continues with Lady dealing with the arrival of a new baby, her place in the family, and the eventual meeting of Tramp – the independent stray mutt.  Of course Tramp captures Lady’s heart over a plate of spaghetti with an accidental kiss on one “Bella Notte.”
