Movies Anywhere + Jurassic Park = Perfect Father’s Day

Over Father’s Day weekend, we partnered with Movies Anywhere to enjoy those quintessential Father’s Day films JURASSIC PARK.  What? Don’t believe me? I’d definitely argue the JURASSIC PARK Collection make great Father’s Day films.  Continue reading to find out why.

First of all, take the original JURASSIC PARK, creator of this new theme park innovation John Hammond (played by Sir Richard Attenborough) is a grandfather who only wants to entertain kids.  As a dad who loves theme parks, and has spent many hours with his daughters at some of the best parks in the country, I can appreciate his motivation.

In THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK, Ian Malcolm’s (played by the fabulous Jeff Goldblum) main motivation is a dad protecting his daughter Kelly.  Well, being a dad, and also protecting his girlfriend Sarah.

Finally, JURASSIC PARK III is all about mom and dad Kirby trying to find their son Eric who was lost on the Jurassic island… well, not the Jurassic Park island, but the second one, and the dad is separated from the mom, and the son was off with the mom’s boyfriend, but hey, Dad ultimately saves the day, right?  Yeah, we’ll go with that…

Anyhow, you can’t think about it too hard, it’s JURASSIC PARK for goodness sake, summer blockbuster films perfect for popcorn and mindless fun. Dinosaurs, running, screaming, you got it all, and Movies Anywhere has them all too, the entire JURASSIC PARK Collection on up to JURASSIC WORLD.  We already own all the films, so we just opened up Movies Anywhere, and let them run.  It was fun re-watching these films, and I had forgotten how many actors showed up in the series.  It was the perfect backdrop to our Father’s Day weekend.

Movies Anywhere Jurassic Park

If you’re not familiar, Movies Anywhere is a digital platform that combines the film libraries of five different movie studios including: Disney, Fox, Sony, Universal, and Warner Bros.  We’ve partnered with Movies Anywhere to watch some of our favorite films over the summer. Plus, having the Movies Anywhere app on our phones allows us to stream movies wherever our summer vacation takes us.  You can even download movies to your device to watch when you don’t have access to the internet – like on those long flights or road trips.  In fact, I have a flight to California coming up, and you know what I have saved to watch?  That’s right JURASSIC WORLD!

JURASSIC WORLD

This way I’ll be all caught up before the release of JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM on June 22. Disclosure: Movies Anywhere provided the JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM merchandise shown in this post, but all opinions expressed are those of the author.

So what are your favorite blockbusters you’ll be watching with your family this summer?  Let us know in the comments below.  For more family friendly entertainment news, be sure to follow Adventures by Daddy on InstagramTwitter and “like” our Facebook page too.
