Preview the Full Slate of Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar and Walt Disney Movies in 2017

Box office returns set a record-high in 2016 for Walt Disney Studios. With Captain America: Civil WarFinding Dory, and Zootopia all cracking $1 Billion in global returns, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story anchoring the holiday season, Walt Disney Studios earned over $7 Billion dollars worldwide for the year.  Walt Disney Studios doesn’t have quite as many films on the docket for 2017, but with two Pixar films, two Marvel films, a live action Beauty & the Beast, Johnny Depp’s return as Captain Jack, and, a yet-to-be-titled film simply called “Episode VIII,” Disney movies in 2017 should continue a strong run. Below you’ll find the descriptions, release dates, and links to our individual pages for all the Disney movies in 2017 including releases from Marvel, Pixar, Walt Disney Pictures, and Lucasfilm Ltd.  We’ll continue to add images, news, and trailers to each film’s individual page as we get more information.  So take a look below and let us know what films you are you looking forward to most in the coming year.

Born in China - April 21, 2017

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - May 5, 2017

Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand.

Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3 - June 16, 2017

Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok - November 3, 2017

Marvel’s THOR: RAGNAROK

In Marvel Studios’ THOR: RAGNAROK, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk.

THOR: RAGNAROK is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi - December 15, 2017
